History of Tamika
Do you know the history of the name Tamika? I have been trying to find out all of my life! I have searched several baby name books. Most of them don't even list the name "Tamika" but many are starting to (and they should). I have been told that our name is derived from the Asian (Japanese) culture, Native American and African. When searching baby name books and websites, the ones that do list our name say the name is "American" or "African American". I have done some more research
and have found very little on our name in particular, but I have found some other interesting facts. Read on to see what I have discovered!

The name "MIKA", whose origin is from Finland, is masculine and is derived from the name "MIKAEL". The name "MIKAEL" is derived from the name "MICHAEL" which is Hebrew and means "who is like God?".
